True love knows no boundaries, it sees no color, even if that love is forbidden. Believing that got Eden’s mom, Echo killed at the age of sixteen, and the identity of Eden’s father was one of many secrets she took to the grave. Instead of moving on, Echo’s soul moved in. With her mother’s presence in her body, Eden can feel Echo’s emotions and hear her thoughts. When Eden tells, pseudo father, Uncle Daryl, about the voice in her head, it takes her down a road that leads to a diagnosis of multiple personalities. Now at seventeen, Eden has a secret love affair of her own with Drew. If Uncle Daryl ever found out the consequences would rip them apart, but that’s the least of Eden’s problems. As new clues surface surrounding her father’s identity, Eden finds herself on a dangerous path that could answer her paternity questions and the mysteries of her mother’s death, but at what cost? Eden can feel the weight of the secrets Echo keeps from her—secrets that have Echo’s killer returning after seventeen years with a mind to make history repeat itself.

Review: For the most part I thought this was a well done book. The world building was well done and the writing was well done. I thought the characters were also well developed for the most part. The book is suspenseful and full of mystery that kept me wanting to know more.
However, I did feel like the book was very slow and if you’re an impatient reader like I am sometimes then this book will test your patience. I also felt like the book was a bit muddy with the plot. It was kind of unclear of what direction the book was going a lot of times and even the blurb is a bit too chaotic.
Praise for Lynn Veevers on her new Young Adult novel, Eden’s Echo! A great read! A full term baby girl survives her mother’s murder while she is still in the womb. Not a completely new premise, but the author displays a masterful command of her craft in sculpting this tale in refreshing fashion. With Veevers, nothing is forced. She takes the reader’s hand, guiding them through a period of time during Eden’s coming of age. Teenaged bullying, brief but acute, a rescue, adolescent crushes, young love. We’re shown an intimate look at the temptations of the flesh, how hard that tension is for young adults, and the consequences of their decisions. The author’s treatment of this teenage angst is terse, palpable, sometimes humorous but completely real. We follow a mystery, as Eden seeks the truth about her past. About her unknown birth father. Eden faces all this under the influence of the emotional train wreck of her young mother’s memory. Or is it more than a memory? There is something wicked, something scary, but something ultimately human about Eden’s journey. No cartoon caricatures here, though. Everyone is real, with human strengths or weaknesses. Ever true to the story, Veevers ushers us to a powerful conclusion! A stalker, an ambush … an answer. Is it the one Eden desired? Is it the one you’d want? Answers are strange animals. They’re different for us all, but they all lead to a conclusion. This book is appropriate for young adults of any age. A delight to recommend.
This book took me for a ride, one with many twists and turns. Edge of the seat excitement, touching moments, young love, and dark secrets, combine to make this a book you're not going to want to put down. Lynn Veevers is an amazing author, but with this one...she really knocked it out of the park! I can't express just how great this book is! It's one of those books that long after you've read it, it's still on your mind. She draws you in and makes you a part of the story. The only thing I hated about the book...the end. I wanted to stay in that world with Eden. Through words, she was brought to life, and now I feel like I know her. Thank you, Lynn Veevers for giving us this amazing book!
The author grabbed my attention from the beginning with a unique approach. A teenage girl has life’s normal issues to deal with; school, boys, her mixed heritage, a strict father, but add in her murdered sixteen year old mother, Echo, residing alongside in her head? You will fall into the twisty, suspenseful tale of Eden’s journey to find answers to her questions. Well-written, fast paced, and intriguing. Lynn Veevers has crafted a tale that will delight and amaze. I highly recommend this book. I couldn’t put it down. I read from start to finish.
Eden's Echo is a little bit different than what I normally read. I was not sure what to think of it in the beginning. Within the first ten percent of reading it, I was hooked. I loved the mystery of it. It was not hard to adore Eden. She was a great character to meet. I am giving Eden’s Echo four and a half stars. I would love to read more like this by Lynn Veevers in the future. I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
